Have you ever noticed that most incenses today have a harsh, chemical smell underlying the nice aromas? It is simply because business people have taken shortcuts with the products. The cost of artificial aromas is a tiny fraction of the cost of natural aromas. But only natural aromas contain the subtle prabhavas, special divine properties, of the herbs.
The artificial aromas in most incenses today add toxicity to your environment and your body in the name of spiritual purification. Do you really want to breathe in toxins while you meditate?
Now you can use an incense that will open your mind and heart to the divine without creating toxins for your body. In fact, this incense is designed specifically to detoxify the lungs with the herbs contained in it. Pushkarmool and Indian Sarsaparilla both help to detoxify the lungs. There is a whole chapter of Charak Samhita, the oldest textbook of Ayurveda, devoted to the therapeutic effects of herbal remedies delivered in smoke form.
Pushkarmool strengthens and detoxifies the lungs
Frankincense Pearl divine aroma which opens the heart lotus and helps to connect the individual consciousness to the universal consciousness—this frankincense is collected directly from the tree and is delivered to you with no alteration
Indian Sarsaparilla purifies the lungs
Camphor highly aromatic and purifying—we use natural camphor not synthetic
Lavender oil calms the mind
Himalayan cedar oil aromatic, divine tree which opens the heart and expands consciousness
Grapefruit oil adds a subtle aroma
Mum’s Ghee divine vibration of cow’s ghee coordinates all of the other ingredients and adds sattawa.
2 oz. loose incense
An excellent description of how to burn loose incense with charcoal can be found at incensemaking.com. Be careful of toxic incense charcoal. Most charcoal you buy in the store has chemicals in it - if it sparks and pops when you light it, it most likely has toxins such as sodium nitrate, potassium nitrate or sulfur.
For a compeletely toxin free incense experience, look for chemical free briquettes such as these Japanese bamboo charcoals.

Add a pinch to a pot of boiling water on your stove, reduce heat to low and let the aroma spread through your entire house for hours. Clean, powerful and long lasting.

A spoonful of this under some charcoal before meditation is real nice... Or you could use a larger amount and let the smell circulate the whole house.
