Step into a traditional Ayurvedic doctor’s kitchen and enjoy the rich, aromatic, chili-free tastes of this amazing masala. Given to Vaidya Mishra by his mother, Damyanti Devi, it is a tridoshic blend of 21 fresh spices. It stimulates kapha and balances vata, while enhancing agni, the digestive fire. It can mildly heating as it sharpens agni, however, it is good for most pitta body types, unless there is extremely high pitta/ high agni (very high metabolism).
This masala has been pre-toasted so it may be used to sprinkle on top of ready-made foods, including salads, sandwiches and soups. It may also be used as a regular masala for cooking.

Now that fall has arrived, we switched from the pitta masala to mom's masala. We use it in all our cooking, and even sprinkle it on toast. Due to its balanced ingredients, it works for all members of the family.

I really love this spice mix. On cooked vegetables, I often sprinkle some of Mom's Masala for flavor boost. Or for any Indian dish. There is some salt in it but it seems to be a small amount (doesn't taste salty). Used this up more quickly than expected, as I was using it faster than my curry powders. It's not that spicy, which means it's good for my tummy. You can't go wrong with this one!

This is the best masala we ever had. This is my second order and we are going to buy more. It is perfectly balanced for our family as we all four have different predominant dosha type. And this moms' masala works for all of us. Taste and flavor is very unique. I honestly want to tell you this masala is even better then my moms that she sends from India (don't tell my mom :)). A great product. Very happy.....Thank you so much Vaidya Mishraji.

Amazing how many healing ingredients go into Mum's Masala and how delicious it is, especially cooked with Mum's ghee.
My favorite way to eat it is in Kulthi Lentil Soup.

I love having a tri-doshic spice mix. But I find the clove is a bit strong for me. Maybe because this is summer and it is a bit heating.
