Split mung dahl is one of the best lentils to use in cooking, but it is very difficult to find in organic form. Whole mung dahl is available in most health food stores, but the green husk has both ruksha and kara gunas (rough and hard). These gunas increase vata in the system and make the bean harder to digest.
We are now happy to offer you organic split mung dahl for your dining table.

Tried the split mung dahl for the first time in a khichari, and it was exellent. Very creamy and soothing.

This is by far the best split mung dahl as compared to those I have purchased at Indian stores. It's very smooth and creamy and a very satisfying meal when you add some vegetables or serve with cooked vegetables. Easily digested and very nourishing!

I have only purchased split mung dahl from the Indian store and there is no comparison to this product. It cooks quickly and tastes delicious! Much better than what I've been using. It would be hard to ever go back to using anything else.

I made this last night with rice in my rice cooker added some garam masala, shredded chicken, turmeric, sea salt and ghee and a can of organic fire roasted tomatoes.
Was delish!

The split mung bean dahl is great because it has the outer green skin removed so it is easier to digest. It tastes great with soma salt and ghee as well as the Mum's Masala spice mix. I cook it until the beans are soft so it's like a thick porridge and I top it with cooked vegetables. I can't find this product anywhere locally and I trust the quality of Chandika's products.
