Pitta Detox and Cooling Bath Pouches
Cools Your Body and Emotions and Detoxifies while You Bathe
The SVA tradition has long capitalized on the importance of daily bathing. Vaidya Mishra’s ancestors (physicians to the royalty of olden India) developed meticulous bathing protocols to promote the general well-being and address the specific ailments of their royal patients. These secrets were passed down to Vaidya Mishra who now presents them in forms and protocols that account for modern life’s stress, unhealthy lifestyles, poor diets, and high EMF exposure.
Vaidya Mishra formulated these bath pouches to activate the intelligence of the body’s detox channels to release and evacuate toxins transdermally (via the skin). In addition, they cool the body with vetiver while also calming hot emotions (irritability, anger, judgement, etc.) with soothing transdermal rose. These bath pouches also contain magnesium chloride, a yogavahi (enhances the delivery of the other ingredients) for deeper penetration. Magnesium also carries all 3 desirable aspects of any detox process: shodhana (cleansing); shamana (pacifying); and santarpana (nurturing).
The pitta-predominant body type will find these bath pouches ideal for summer, but they can also be used by other body types seasonally for simultaneously detoxifying and cooling.
Ingredients
‘SVA Pitta Detox and Cooling Bath Pouches’ (Vaidya Mishra’s proprietary herbal blend) with Indian Sarsaparilla (Hemidesmus Indicus), Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia), Rose (Rosa), Vetiver (Chrysopogon zizanioides), Neem (Azadirachta indica), Magnesium, and Coral Calcium
Size
2 pouches (1.5 oz)
Directions
Put one pouch in your bath and squeeze it so that it absorbs warm (but not hot) water. The herbal synergy will be quickly released into your bath water. Use the pouch to massage joints and limbs while you bath. Relax some more and enjoy.
Use only one pouch per bath. Discard after one use. Do Not use more than 2 x weekly. Best used by the recommendation and supervision of a Shaka Vansiya Ayurveda practitioner.
Electrolyte Replacement
Detox with these pouches can cause loss of electrolytes. If you feel weak and thirsty after bathing, you MUST make the rehydration drink (pg. 46 of Home-Detox Manual) on the day you use the pouches. Don’t wait until you feel dehydrated. Prepare the drink and set it aside ready to drink after your bath. You may also drink a portion before bathing.

I usually default to the Wild Amla Bath Pouches, but these contain magnesium so they're extra relaxing and help me get my transdermal magnesium in when I'm unable to do an oil massage. Make sure to shake the bag over the bathtub after you've removed the pouch to get all of the powder out! The rose and coral calcium are also nice pitta-pacifying touches.
