Arjuna is described in the Sanskrit texts, Bhava Prakash, Charak and others, as having hridya prabhava (being good for the heart). According to Charak Samhita, the heart is the seat of consciousness in the body (hrydayah chetanasthanam) and it has a direct connection with the soul. A healthy connection between the heart and the soul is essential to maintain good heart health.
Arjuna is connected to the divine. It's name literally means that it has an infinite or everlasting vibration of "a" (consciousness) that never declines. When used as a herb, it enlivens the connection between the heart and consciousness in the body and brings strenght to the physical, emotional and vibrational heart.
