Using traditional Ayurvedic formulas based on the deep knowledge of the ancient texts, Vaidya Mishra has created modern hair care products which bridge the span of time. Herb RichShampoo is the keystone of these hair care products. It contains a spectrum of Ayurvedic herbs put together in a synergy, so they support each other’s properties and work together to nurture, nourish, and balance the scalp, even as they clean it of unwanted toxic residues. This rich shampoo allows the healthy friendly bacteria on your scalp to thrive. Regular shampoos deplete your scalp’s friendly bacteria.
Safe and Nourishing: 100% Natural, Chemical Free Ingredients and Aromas
Vaidya Mishra's Herbal Shampoo does not contain any harsh, toxic chemicals. It was a small miracle to preserve the natural herbal ingredients in a water base without chemicals. Not only that, even the aromas of his formulas are 100% natural, plant extracts, free of harsh chemicals. He never uses aromas extracted in alcohol, hexane, or benzene. His aromas are extracted from plants using water and gentle steam techniques. The yield is less, but the prana and subtle essence of the plant's intelligence or prabhava are not lost in the process. This is why his shampoo seems to be alive - full of beautiful, rich aromas and the living essences of herbs. Now you have a rare opportunity to enjoy a shampoo without harsh chemicals or synthetic scents.
This Shampoo has Short and Long Term Benefits
The short term benefits of using this shampoo is that you will feel instantly refreshed and nourished, and find a new richness in body of your hair. Long term, with regular use, you will deeply nourish the hair and detoxify the scalp and hair follicles so that your hair always looks beautiful.
Herb Rich Shampoo Protects Your Adhipati (Master Marma)
The scalp is one of the most important reception points for prana (vital force) in the body--if not the most important - because on the crown of your head lies an important marma (energy point) that controls the reception and delivery of prana for the entire physiology. This marma is called adhipati, or master marma. This is one of the reasons it’s essential not to place any toxic substance on the scalp especially paraben and SLS (sodium laurel sulfate). Paraben is a chemical preservative used in many shampoos. Sodium Laurel Sulfate is a common foaming agent in shampoos, soaps, liquid soaps, detergents, and toothpastes. Both substances are known carcinogens and of course they will diminish the vital function of adhipati marma.
Key Ingredients
Bringa Raj, or eclipta alba, is an important ingredient in Vaidya Mishra's herbal shampoo. It has been used in hair care formulas for millennia because it nourishes the hair and helps as kesharanjanah to maintain the color of the hair. According to Bhav Prakash, one of the ancient Ayurvedic texts, bhumi amalaki is kesharajo, ‘king of hair herbs’. It is also described as kapha shopha vishaghnascha - pacifying sleshaka kapha and cleaning amavisha, reactive toxins, from the skin and scalp.
Reeta, soap pod, is a natural foaming agent, which allows this shampoo to lather without using carcinogenic chemicals, such as SLS, or other chemicals commonly used as a substitute. In Indian villages, Reeta has been used to clean the hair long before commercial shampoos came into use.
Harsingaar helps prevent hair fall.
Haritaki (terminalia chebula) coordinates the functioning of dhi, driti and smriti, the intellect's capacity to gather (dhi), store (driti) and recollect (smriti) information. According to the Sushrut Ayurvedic text, it is sothkusthanut, antihistamine for the skin and scalp.
Ashti shrinkala, or cissus quadrangularis Linn., is ashti sandhan janani - the mother of bone unification.
Jati Phal, nutmeg, is vishapakahara, which means that it helps eliminate amavisha, reactive toxins resulting from poor digestion and metabolism.
Ajavon, or yavani, also known as ajwain is vishaghna. It removes both amavisha, internally generated toxins, and garvisha, external poisons or xenobiotics. Ajavon is also jantughna (bactericidal), shothahar, (anti-inflammatory) and twagdoshahar (cleaning the scalp and skin).
Daru Haldi or Daru Haridra is Indian Burberry or Tree Turmeric. The Dhanvantari Nigantu text says, ‘rujam kandum cha nashyate’, which means takes care of itching and itching pain on the scalp and skin. It is also described as sleshma visha vikarnu, cleaning the channels of the scalp and the skin and removing the visha, toxins, and amavisha, internally generated toxins. Bhava Mishra says that it is chhedanama brandushhrit, cleaning the channels by removing deposited toxins from scars.
Japa, Indian Hibiscus, is keshya - nourishing and promoting long life to hair.
Bhumi Amalaki, or phyllantus niruri, is described as hima, cooling, and also pittanshrakaphna and pandu paha, pitta pacifying. It is also vishapaka, removing amavisha particularly from the liver.
SVA Hair Care from the Inside Too!
The hair is a mala (waste product) of asthi dhatu (bone tissue) produced during the transformation of meda (fat tissue) into bone. For this reason, care for the fat and bone are important to maintain healthy, lustrous hair. Vaidya Mishra's Soma Cal Capsules, Soma Cal HMN drops, and Praval PanchAmrit are an easy way to support healthy bones so that your hair looks naturally beautiful. Besides supplying the bones with bio-active intelligent calcium, healthy hair requires other measures from the inside. A good diet and routine and stress reduction are keys to hair health. When the body’s pH is low the high acidity eats the hair follicles. The best way to raise your body's pH is to follow Vaidya Mishra's tips for diet as medicine and to get to bed early on a regular basis. You also need to care for your liver, because when it is toxic and acidic the blood becomes acidic too, ultimately damaging the hair follicles.
For internal use, Vaidya Mishra has formulated Lustrous Hair Capsules with herbs that support healthy hair and scalp. It includes Bringaraj - an ingredient in the shampoo and conditioner. This is one of the best herbs for making the liver more intelligent and detoxifying the acidic toxins that can attack the follicles.

Like all of the chandi products, the shampoo is the cleanest product of it's kind, with the most intelligent and richest combination of herbs. These products are worth every penny if you can spare it because they are clean. I like to take tubs and so i especially value the shampoo and conditioner because i don't mind bathing in them. It also makes my house smell amazing.

When I started using this shampoo, I had some bumps, kind of pimples on my scalp, and now, after only one week, the bumps/pimples are gone. And every time I wash my hair, my scalp feels good, like I have a balsam on it.

This shampoo has so many herbal ingredients that it knocks my socks off everytime I glance at them. It feels good to put this on my scalp because it has all of my bases covered from detoxifying & protecting my scalp from DHT, and it has ayurvedic hair & scalp strengthening herbs & essential oils along with nature's soap "soapnuts".
