SVA Lalita's Eyeliner herbal synergy (propieratary blend) with Mameera (Coptis Teeta), Chakchusya, Bhring Raj (Eclipta Alba), Coconut oil, Almond oil, Beeswax, Rose
Mameera (Coptis Teeta) is a very ancient ayurvedic ingredient as outlined in the shastra-s. It is the ideal ingredient for a health promoting eyeliner, as it is safe, and supports the balance of the whole physical eye.
Chakchusya - (from "chakchu," eye) is known for its health and longevity promoting properties for the eye
Bhring Raj (Eclipta Alba)is great for pacifying alochak pitta. When it is prepared with ghee, it also yields a rich black tint.
Coconut oil is a soma predominant oil, which nurtures and soothes the eyes, even as it pacifyies alochak pitta.
Ghee is the favorite oil in Ayurveda, as it carries both soma and agni together. It is unctuous and lubricating, takes away dryness and nourishes the eyes. It is used widely in Ayurveda to make healing and balancing recipes for the eyes.
Almond oil is a non-pitta aggravating nourishing oil, Vaidya uses in his Lalita's eyeliner to further nourish and nurture.
Beeswax, in long term use, helps keep the eyes lubricated, providing firmness.
Rose is the ultimate flower for pitta-s. It pacifies all five pitta sub-doshas, including alochak pitta. It is a bliss enhancing flower, cooling, calming, aromatic.
Pigment(s) derived from vegetables neither containing nor using non-toxic chemicals or additives.

I ordered this with real hesitation because the color of the container is a super bright peacock blue and there's no text explaining it was NOT a bright peacock blue -- really need to put color description in product description, folks! -- I gambled that it might not be that bright. Whew! Thank goodness it paid off. It is actually a medium shade of a kind of smoky baby blue, not garishly bright. It goes on super smoothly and looks lovely with my green eyes.
The biggest surprise was that it feels nourishing and comforting to the eyes. I quit wearing eye color a long time ago because despite buying expensive "clean" eye pencils they always, always hurt a little while later in some vague way. This never, ever does! I learned there are over 30 formulations for eyeliners alone in Ayurveda as therapeutic medicines for the eye. I knew Vaidya's product would also be a nourishing medicine which is why I took the leap. I have to say it feels fantastic, gentle, kind to my eyes!
However, it also kind of spreads out once it's on, does not stay in the precise line I put it in. I think there's no getting around this feature, though, if I want to not hurt my eyes. A natural oil or emulsifier will spread with body heat, so you just have to realize this will happen and perhaps blot the color later so it's a more narrow line. Not complaining, though. I'm very glad I bought it and can wear color around my eyes for the first time in years :) I can see it will last a very long time. I gave it 4 stars for the spreading color issue, since that is not ideal.

Soothing for my sensitive eyes, the result is immediate, the only make up I can use, and it makes beautiful eyes.

I love this eyeliner; tried for the first time after my allergic reaction to other famous brand names. It goes on smoothly; but have to apply with a light hand otherwise it may break or smudge; takes a little practice initially but I have mastered it now. I can also use it in the inner rim of my lower eyelid and it looks beautiful. It stays all day and sometimes till next day. I could not do this with other brand name eyeliners as I was afraid because of the chemicals found in those.

I loved putting this eye liner on -- both on my upper and lower inner eyelids. Felt that it was more than make-up as it has a nourishing quality. I'm hoping that it will last and not break as it seems delicate without any protection around the product.

Could feel relief the moment I applied it. I have chronic dry-eye, and the herbs went to work immediately! The brown color contains a bit too much red/orange pigment however- makes me look as if I've been weeping or have been smoking MJ.

I absolutely love the Lalita's eyeliner. It takes away the tiredness from my eyes. I have a client who is extremely sensitive to makeup. She got muscle tested for Lalita's eyeliner and to her surprise, she can use it! No reaction whatsoever!!
Thank you Vaidya!!

I just moved to Marin Co. this past year and I have been having some pollen allergies for the first time in my life. This eyeliner feels very soothing, and so much easier than having to make up the regular triphala/camphor eye drops that I generally do. I also love that it looks so beautiful on the eyes!
Thank you!

I love the blue, but the brown makes my lid rims looks red (not good), and the lids are not the best color. The blue looks great on both and even over the brown. The black is fabulous. I love, love, love that they are good for my eyes, especially wearing them on the inner rims!!! When I get up in the mornings or after a shower, my rims usually are reddish, but these make them look wonderful and feel good for the health effects! Thank you, as always, dear Vaidya Mishra!!!

the black goes on creamy and lovely, however after my 3 rd time using it, and using it with great care, it broke off creating a big mess.
so now i have to fnd a way to fit it into another container, and need and applicator to use it. The blue is very nice, not quite as creamy, and i am hoping this does not break!
loved the kajal in the little tube i purchased about a month ago.
thank you
