Tulsi (holy basil, ocimum tenuiflorum, or ocimum sanctum) is one of the most divine herbs in Ayurveda. According to the ancient text, Bhava Prakash, it stimulates digestion (dipani) and helps kill harmful bacteria (bhutaghni). It is also very good for the heart (hridya).
The main power of tulsi lies in its divine vibration (devadundubhi). For this reason it is said to be surasa (loved by the gods). Krishna will not even eat without this divine herb. And the name itself, tulasi in Sanskrit, literally means "beyond compare."
The vibration of tulsi must be delivered fully intact if the body is going to derive benefit from this divine herb. Tulsi is commonly available in teas and supplements from many sources today, but the purity of tulsi's vibration is not always carefully preserved. Mass production of tulsi products can easily damage the divinity of the herb.
Tulsi is extremely sensitive to negative vibrations in the environment. It will not grow in a house where there is too much rajas (desire and anger) or tamas (inertia and dullness). When a herb like tulsi is grown for production, great pains must be taken to ensure that the environment of the tulsi is good.
The workers must be good people, leading pure lives. The drying and storage of the leaves must be done in a vibrationally pure place. No chemicals like benzene or hexane should be used to extract the essential oil of tulsi. No preservatives should come in contact with the tulsi. In fact, the tulsi leaves should not be put into any formulation that has chemicals of any kind.
The result of bad practice, when growing, storing or using tulsi, is that the divine vibration of the plant can be destroyed. Also, if tulsi leaves become too old, they lose the strength of their divine vibration over time.
Vaidya Mishra is very careful to preserve the vibration of tulsi at every step of production. When you use this product you will immediately feel the energy of the divine tulsi plant.
It is not enough that a tulsi product keep the divine vibration of the herb intact before you consume it. If tulsi comes in contact with lots of toxins in the body, the vibration of the divine herb can still be compromised inside the body.
The most common example of this is toxins in the liver. When you ingest tulsi, it must go through the normal digestive and metabolic process, just like any other food.
This means that it passes through the stomach and the liver for processing. If there are a lot of toxins in the liver, even if the tulsi you ate was vibrationally rich, the potency of that vibration will be diminished or destroyed when it passes through the toxic liver.
You could be eating great tulsi, but the divine vibration of the herb (which is where the herb's power resides) would be lost in the liver before it gets to all the cells of the body.
For this reason, Vaidya Mishra has developed this Tulsi Herbal Memory Nectar.
Instead of giving you the whole leaf, which has to be digested by the stomach and metabolized by the liver, Vaidya Mishra, in this formulation, has captured the subtlest vibrational essence of the herb (sukshma bhag), which needs no digestion.
With this subtle fraction of the herb come the prabhavas (special medicinal qualities) of tulsi.
The Tulsi Herbal Memory Nectar does not have to pass through the digestive system or the liver and risk getting its vibration destroyed. The vibration of tulsi captured in this formulation is absorbed transmucousally and immediately travels to the organs and systems where it is needed.
This is why Vaidya Mishra calls his Herbal Memory Nectar formulations an "alternative delivery system." They bypass the toxic, modern liver and deliver the unaltered, divine vibration of the herb to all the cells of the body.
This product is able to give better results than raw Tulsi Leaf, when a person has toxins in the liver.
Another advantage of taking tulsi in this form is that the ushna virya (heating quality) and katuka rasa (pungent taste) are very minimally present. For people who have high pitta, taking tulsi leaf is contraindicated because Bhava Prakash says that tulsi is dahapittakrit (causing burning and increased pitta).
When this Herbal Memory Nectar is used, the heating quality of tulsi is almost completely absent.
