Tridoshic Mucuna Brew / Ayurvedic coffee substitute
Does your morning cup of coffee act as a tridoshic body and brain tonic? Is it rejuvenating to all your bodily tissues? Nourishing for your nerves? Calming for your mind, and does it support your daily detox through your kidneys and colon? Is it a good source of prebiotic that will nourish the friendly bacteria in your colon? If it is not, you may want to switch to Vaidya’s Cup, a delicious coffee substitute that contains all the goodness of key ayurvedic ingredients with zero side-effects of coffee beans or caffeine. Instead it has: Mucuna pruriens beans that are a natural rich source of L-Dopa, the precursor to the neurotransmitters dopamine, the bliss-giving factor that our brains thrive on. In Ayurveda, Mucuna is a renown brain and body tonic; Wild date seeds, the second ingredient, are recommended in Ayurveda for detoxifying and nourishing the muscle tissue; Root Chicory (Cichorium intybus) is a great functional food and an age-old coffee substitute used in Europe and Asia for millennia, contains up to 20% inulin - a great source of soluble dietary fiber that helps support the colon and address constipation as well as weight loss. Some studies have found that Chicory may also increase calcium absorption and bone density. In Sanskrit, Chicory is called kashmard: that which helps the lungs through gentle detox, nurturing and supporting them by eliminating daily build-up from environmental pollution. The last ingredient in Vaidya’s Cup is Haritaki (Terminalia chebula). Haritaki is known for its countless healing and balancing properties in Ayurveda, including restorative properties for the colon. It is called a paathya plant - it helps us stay on the “path of health” by maintaining our body’s intelligence on all levels: physical, mental, emotional, and even spiritual.
“Vaidya’s Cup” contains zero coffee beans and caffeine. It will energize your physiology by supplying better oxygenation to the brain and lungs; it will help ease the mind by supporting your nervous system against daily stress; and pacify all three doshas. Regular consumption of this blend has cumulative benefits for the nervous system and colon overall.
Mucuna pruriens, Wild date seed, Chicory (Cichorium intybus), Haritaki (Terminalia chebula).
Recommended portion is 1 teaspoon of the powder per cup. Brew it like you would regular coffee, and enjoy it with or without milk, with or without a sweetener - depending on your preference. You can add 2 tsp per cup for a stronger flavor and texture. Up to 4 teaspoons a day per person is good to consume.
4 oz, 8 oz, 1 lb

The taste of this beverage is truly excellent as a replacement for coffee. I gave up coffee years ago after being a coffee drinker for decades. It was just too bitter. Being a dyed in the wool tea totaller now just buying the product for the first time was a leap of faith. I can honestly say that having it in my cupboard, when I am called for something bitter and balanced, I go to it and enjoy a cup for a few days in a row and return to my regular tea once the urge has been satisfied. I can appreciate it in the evening, even late in the evening without the caffeine affect - BRAVO!!!

Vaidya's cup tastes better tham coffee to me. Almost like bitter cacao in a way. My favorite breakfast is pouring my freshly brewed Vaidya's cup into half a cup of boiled organic golden milk, with a touch of ghee. I find it to be an excellent gentle detox year round. I've also noticed it to be very clarifying to mind and digestive system. My friends and family are hooked on this stuff because the positive digestive effects tend to be immediately noticed after drinking.

Finally a "coffee " substitute that tastes amazing! Vaidyas cup is delicious and satisfying and it is really awesome to know it is actually promoting good health rather than a delicious beverage that has detrimental aspects.
I boil it a few minutes, add the milk, bring it to a boil again, and add sugar or maple syrup.. So delicious! I can't wait to try it in summer as a cool drink.

This is the only beverage I have tried that provides the similar flavors as in coffee that I enjoy but without any of the acid and caffeine that whacks out my body. I agree with others that it is equally delicious plain, with milk--my preference is almond, or with milk and maple syrup. Yum! After I have a cup I feel nourished and better able to tend to the next tasks. I am amazed now when I watch people who are overdosing on caffeine. I am glad to be off that up/down cycle. Thank you for your care in developing this beverage.

I cannot recommend this product highly enough! I drink 2-3 cups daily, usually with some goat milk added. But it's delicious plain or even prepared in the "bullet proof" style. I know longer drink coffee and feel better on every level. Thank you for formulating this healthful drink!

The bitter chickory rasa produces a nice taste substitute for consumers but the added Vata pacifying effect of haritaki and atma gupta make this a very effective medicinal drink

I have to review this because it's almost too good to be true. I do bulletproof coffee for breakfast. I've tried this alone and it tastes great but I do miss my coffee. I used to do 2Tbsp of freshly ground coffee beans, but now I do 1Tsp + 1tsp of this. Mix together and brew via pour over via stainless steel pour over filter. Add butter, coconut oil, MCT oil and blend with hand blender. Tastes delicious and I feel better than ever!
