Tridoshic Mucuna Brew / Ayurvedic coffee substitute
Does your morning cup of coffee act as a tridoshic body and brain tonic? Is it rejuvenating to all your bodily tissues? Nourishing for your nerves? Calming for your mind, and does it support your daily detox through your kidneys and colon? Is it a good source of prebiotic that will nourish the friendly bacteria in your colon? If it is not, you may want to switch to Vaidya’s Cup, a delicious coffee substitute that contains all the goodness of key ayurvedic ingredients with zero side-effects of coffee beans or caffeine. Instead it has: Mucuna pruriens beans that are a natural rich source of L-Dopa, the precursor to the neurotransmitters dopamine, the bliss-giving factor that our brains thrive on. In Ayurveda, Mucuna is a renown brain and body tonic; Wild date seeds, the second ingredient, are recommended in Ayurveda for detoxifying and nourishing the muscle tissue; Root Chicory (Cichorium intybus) is a great functional food and an age-old coffee substitute used in Europe and Asia for millennia, contains up to 20% inulin - a great source of soluble dietary fiber that helps support the colon and address constipation as well as weight loss. Some studies have found that Chicory may also increase calcium absorption and bone density. In Sanskrit, Chicory is called kashmard: that which helps the lungs through gentle detox, nurturing and supporting them by eliminating daily build-up from environmental pollution. The last ingredient in Vaidya’s Cup is Haritaki (Terminalia chebula). Haritaki is known for its countless healing and balancing properties in Ayurveda, including restorative properties for the colon. It is called a paathya plant - it helps us stay on the “path of health” by maintaining our body’s intelligence on all levels: physical, mental, emotional, and even spiritual.
“Vaidya’s Cup” contains zero coffee beans and caffeine. It will energize your physiology by supplying better oxygenation to the brain and lungs; it will help ease the mind by supporting your nervous system against daily stress; and pacify all three doshas. Regular consumption of this blend has cumulative benefits for the nervous system and colon overall.
Mucuna pruriens, Wild date seed, Chicory (Cichorium intybus), Haritaki (Terminalia chebula).
Recommended portion is 1 teaspoon of the powder per cup. Brew it like you would regular coffee, and enjoy it with or without milk, with or without a sweetener - depending on your preference. You can add 2 tsp per cup for a stronger flavor and texture. Up to 4 teaspoons a day per person is good to consume.
4 oz, 8 oz, 1 lb

Vaidya's cup is definitely the best hot drink.
Don't even think of it as a coffee substitute, because it is it's own special thing! Mixes well with milks and a little of Vaidya's cinnamon stevia.
Use a French press, let the mixture settle before pouring, then pour slowly and avoid the last bit as it can contain too much residue.

I believe I finally figured out why I had a tumultuous relationship with coffee. My mom, told me she use to give me a little bit of coffee to drink coffee when I was 2 years old.
I've used many coffee substitutes before. Some gave me gas and some simply didn't taste good at all. I decided to give Vaidyas cup a try. I'm glad I did. It has a real coffee satisfying taste and it looks like coffee. It has helped curb my coffee craving. I drink it regularly. Now I can spend time with mom while she enjoys drinking her coffee and me with my Vaidyas cup.

After battling acid reflux for years, I finally found a morning "pick me up" beverage that feels like my morning cup of coffee, without the acidity of coffee. Even Teecino was irritating my stomach, but Vaidya's cup was gentle on my system. What really surprised me was the boost of energy after drinking it. Also helped my digestion. Great drink to start the day, or end the day with. You can go straight to bed after it, as it has no stimulant properties. Highly recommend for anyone weaning off caffeine, or just looking for a nice tasting hot beverage with added health benefits.

I tried Pero, Roma, Tecciccino etc. although, I had my preference for one of them, I wanted to give this product a try. I was surprised! This coffee, as some others stated is deeply satisfying, don't know if its due to the chicory or just the way its processed.
I would recommend this any time if you are hunting for a coffee substitute.
I drink it as an instant coffee (adding it to a little hot water and mixing it with warm milk). Again, agree with previous reviewer - that it has gritty residue. If they came up with instant coffee fine powder, I can bump my rating to 5 stars!

I tried many times to stop drinking coffee, but always kept longing for the real coffee. When I drunk the first cup of Vaidya's cup, I noticed a deep satisfaction, as if I didn't need the coffee anymore. Not only the taste is excellent, also it feels like there's a kind of nourishing on a deeper level. I've started drinking it two days ago, and I already notice that my normal coffee, which I still drink in the morning, doesn't taste as well anymore. With this mucuna brew, changing habits is a piece of cake.

I like the taste, As another reviewer stated it is the best coffee substitute I've tasted as well. But there is always a gritty residue toward the end of the cup that needs stirring and if your not stirring every once in awhile it ends up thick and unpalatable at the bottom of the cup. A better product would dissolve thoroughly.
